Principle of an electrical seismometer

In electrical seismometers, pendulum is connected to the recording device by electric signals. In the geophone, the relative movements of a pendulum, a heavy mass coiled with electric conductor, in the field of a magnet, generates currents that are transmitted to the recorder.
